These are hand knit from Bartlett 100% wool yarn and then fulled. I use the Sports weight so they are still not too heavy, but very warm. Since they are felted after knitting, there should be no shrinkage, but please, no dryer!! These are all individually knit, so the stripes my vary.
These hats date back to the late 1600’s, 17thCentury. Worn throughout the 18th century and into the 19thCentury.
