Hand-Knit & Fulled Woollen Caps

These caps are knit by hand from Bartlett’s 100% wool yarn, using the sports weight so they remain pleasantly light yet very warm. Each piece is fulled after knitting, giving it a firm, felted finish. They ought not shrink further, though I always advise: no dryer, if you please.

This style of hat is an old one, known from the late 1600s and worn well through the 18th century and into the 19th. They suit camp and common wear alike and are much favored by travelers and working folk.

We keep several sizes and colors on hand. Should a particular one be out of stock, you may pre-order, and I shall knit it for you—please allow me 3 to 5 weeks. If you spy a color in the pictures that is not listed, simply reach out and I will gladly make it up for you.

I use the same Bartlett yarn for our hand-wear, so you may easily put together a matched set. 

These Woolen caps shall be dispatched by U.S. Mail, either Priority or Ground, as you desire. Simply make your preference known, and we shall see to it that Your order will go out from our local rural post office.
