Handwoven Linsey-Woolsey Fabric – Natural & Bleached Stripe
This stout Linsey-Woolsey cloth was woven upon one of our looms, employing 100% Bartlett wool singles for the weft, cast through a warp of linen thread. The warp is arranged in alternating ends of natural and bleached linen, forming a modest striping suited to the working garments of the common sort. Fabric has been washed and dried once to finish and stabilize. Approximate width is 34 inches.
Ideal for 18th-century garment making, museum interpretation, accurate reproduction work use in interpretive settings, or for those who favour the honest textures of the past.
We shall dispatch your order by U.S. Mail, either Priority or Ground, according to your preference. Simply make it known, and we shall see it done.
As with all handwoven textiles, minor irregularities add to the authentic character and charm of the fabric.
