Jeff White Blank #9 (French Trade)

This fine blade blank is the work of Mr. Jeff White, a smith well esteemed for his honest and durable wares. Forged of high carbon steel (ANSI 1095), the blade hath been tempered to a Rockwell hardness of 59 (HRC 58–60), and sharpened to a fine edge ready for daily duty or field use.

This particular blank:

•  Possesses a full tang and a flat-ground blade for strength and steadfast service.
• The handle end is shaped in the fashion of a French knife.
• Measures 10 inches overall, with a blade length of 5¼ inches.
• The blade is 1/8" thick (0.085") and 1¼ inches wide.

Our hand-made Leather Sheath “C” is sized and shaped to fit this blade most handsomely.

This blank is ready to be hafted. Choose from our selection of seasoned wood and pins, or fit it with timber of your own choosing to suit your needs and hand.
